The Internet seems to offer many pages, which you can find using a simple Google search, that talk about the achievements and the life of Clara. She appears to be an incredibly accomplished worker, researcher, scientist and woman and you can find that she has done an extensive amount of work in many different areas, and whilst they may not necessarily be an 'invention', she has made plenty of discoveries with colleagues and brought about huge discussions in science.

Lim-Sylianco, Clara Y has a Ph.D in Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, as well as a range of other qualifications. She obtained the Ph.D all the way back in 1957. Earlier than this in 1953, she obtained an M.S. In Chemistry at the University of the Philippines, and four years earlier than that in 1949, she obtained her B.S in Chemistry at Silliman University.

She was born on August 18, 1925, and despite the early stage in the century she was born, she was working on many projects that have led to today's great understanding of the world of natural and organic chemistry. She has done a huge amount of work on antimutagens and mutagens, as well as the bio-organic mechanisms. In these fields, she has written more than 50 different articles, 7 long research books and 5 monographs. This is a huge achievement and her work is still used today to understand this particular area of science. Her books are used as textbooks in many college chemistry courses across the United States, and her work is very much valued in universities across the world.

For all of these achievements, Dr. Sylianco received the Gregorio Y. Zara award in 1977, the UP Endowment Professional Chair in Chemistry between 1974 and 1977 and was also the Fellow of the Royal Society in 1958.
