Quartz can basically be found everywhere except in the ocean! It can be found from six inches into the ground to eight feet in the ground. The mineral is naturally formed and found in many, many places in Washington State. Take us for an example, we live in Washington and  have a huge, and I mean huge, collection of different types of Quartz. It is really fun collecting the rocks, but not only are they found in the United States...

Quartz is a kind of mineral in the Earth's crust. Itis the second most common mineral and is made of Lattice of silica tetrahedra. There are many different kinds of quartz that occur in various regions such as natural prasiolite has found in Lower Silesia in Poland.
