Pacific ring of fire is an area where large number of earthquakes amd volcanic eruptions occur in the basin of the pacific ocean. And having the Philippines part of the scope of the pacific ring of fire, increase its chances of having terrible earthquakes. About 90% of the world's earthquakes and sad to say that 80% of the largest earthquakes occur along the seemingly horseshoe shape path.
