Bone spur also called osteophyte. These are bony projections on the joints due to damage to the cartilage of the joints. These bone spurs hamper the joint movements and cause pain. I think you are not having bone spur because it causes pain when moving all the time. For proper diagnosis of your pain, visit to a doctor.

When I had heel spurs they always hurt more when I rested and the pain hurt a lot when I first started to walk but eased up again until I sat down and they it was horrible.
