Specific gravity for mercury is 13.6 g/mL.  Take the specific gravity and multiply by the volume. In this case our units for specific gravity are in metric (and will be 99% of the time) so we will convert gallons (english system) to the metric system.  3.785 liters are in 1 gallon and 1000 milliliters (mL) are in 1 liter.  Therefore, 3785 mL * 13.6 g/mL = 51476 g which can be simplified to 51.467 kilogram (kg).  Conversion to pounds; there are 2.205 pounds per 1 kg therefore
2.205 * 51.467 = 113.5 pounds (lbs).  Hope this helps.
