Would CO2 being released be stored energy? We used  CO2 cartridges(from a paintball gun) to power soap box derby cars..you attach the cylinder to the car and puncture it with a spring loaded center punch type device.....it acts like a jet booster/or jato bottle for (nitrous oxide/laughing gas)funny cars/drag racers...

I am fascinated by toy cars and how they work, so if it comes down to something that hard... Either cheat or just turn it upside down glue on a battery light the + end of it... If it doesn't go on fire or blow up in your face it should drive along quickly or normally for up to 100 meters straight!

IF I WERE YOU I WOULDN'T TAKE THE RISK I HAVE IN THE PAST WITH THE BATTERY AND JUST EITHER CHEAT OR USE RUBBER BANDS... OH AND IF YOU OR ANYBODY ELSE GET HURT BY ANYTHING I HAVE SUGGESTED I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE NOR ARE MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE GIVIN ME THIS IDEA IN THE PAST... GOOD LUCK!

Isn't that impossible? Oh maybe you could put a fan on the back and see if it will blow forward, or isn't there allowed in electricity at all ?

Can you use wind? At first I was thinking of a rubberband, but I think that would be an energy source right? A low grade hill or something like that? Not the brightest of ideas, I know, but I am trying to help.

Blow up a balloon and attach it to the car and release the air through a straw acting like a thruster-but over a ten meter distance i don't think the air released would be enough to push the weight of the car that distance...

A ramp will work, but it is actually a form of energy. The car has stored energy getting to the higher elevation, in a form we call potential energy. But it may not be in her category of energy to exclude along with electricity. Providing a force will accelerate the car's mass and make it move, but the problem is that any movement requires some energy to overcome its rolling resistance.

You should add a mouse trap!
All you need for it to move is Force! Thats all
I'm not that good with explaining science and stuff but Ive done this before and just use a mouse trap, search mousetrap for toycars and you will get your answer..=)
