So pie is 3.142 times by they radius (9) squared (81)
which is about 255 square inches
divided by 144 as your converting from square inches to square feet and the answer is about 1.8 square feet.
If you want, convert the units to feet before multiplying everything together you can do that by dividing the radius by 12.
So pie is 3.142 times by the radius (0.75) squared (0.5625)
and that should give you the same answer.
