Bacteria are the microorganisms which have both the positive and negative impacts for us. They are beneficial for us because they are used in a number of industries like for producing dairy products like yogurt, cheese etc. They are also used in Leather industry for making leather. Bacterias are also economical beneficial organisms because Nitrogen fixing bacterias, increases the fertility of the soil by processing nitrogen in the soil. Bacteria are also important for our health because they are present in our body and are producing a vitamin type in our body. Moreover, bacteria are also used in manufacturing medicines like anti-bacterial medicines.

There are various harmful effects of bacteria as well. For example, bacteria in our body can cause gastrointestinal infections as a result of the ingestion of contaminated food. Such bacterias include Escherichia coli, Proteus or Klebsiella species. Bacteria can also make our food contaminated and they can cause many serious bacterial diseases. Moreover, if they are used in many food products industries, then they can also spoil the food as well, which can cause huge losses.

There are various types of bacterias and they can be either harmful or useful. Harmful bacterias include Yersinia pestis or bubonic plague, which is a rod-shaped bacteria and is very harmful. Secondly, Streptococcus bacteria may cause infections and Campylobacter is a group of bacteria who result illnesses in human. These and many other bacteria cause dangerous diseases in living organisms.

Useful bacterias include Lactobacillus which are used in fermentation process, and Clostridium butyclicus bacteria are used to separate fibers of jute, hemp, flax, etc. Escherichia coli lives in the human large intestine and it makes vitamin B which is very important for human body. Clostridium butyclicum is a beneficial bacteria that is used for commercial preparation of riboflavin, a vitamin B. Moreover, BT or Bacillus Thuringiensis is a Gram-positive, soil dwelling bacterium.

Bacteria can be harmful, as in the case of pathogenic bacteria that cause infectious diseases like tuberculosis, cholera,leprosy, and anthrax. Useful in industry for the production of yogurt,cheese,sewage treatment and antibiotics.

There are some types of bacteria that lays in the small intestine that helps in the process of digestion and the extermination of harmful organisms. It may also break down lactose in alimentary canal in the body. It also helps to remove harmful bacteria in fermented milk.But it can be harmful. Certain bacteria act as pathogens and cause tuberculosis, typhoid fever etc. It may cause small infections like sore throat, pneumonia etc. It may cause paralysis in some people and even death

Bacteria could be good. But the disease that could give you is gangrene black death strep throat more known as "strep throat" and it could also spoil your food !!!
