Major chunk of the people who speak French live in France, Monaco, Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Francophone. It is the official language of 29 countries. According to an estimation of European Union, there are 129 million people of 27 states who speak French, which makes it the third language after English and German in the Union. I am giving the list of some countries where it is widely spoken. Countries include Switzerland, Belgium, Monaco and Andorra, Italy, Luxembourg, The Channel Islands, Canada, Haiti, Lebanon, Southeast Asia, India, and Oceania. All of the countries where French is spoken as an official language have a large population of French speakers.
