There are different types of rain. One of them is known as cyclonic rain. Cyclonic rain is also known as frontal rain.
This type of rain usually is due to the occurrence of cyclonic activities and is witnessed along fronts. It happens due to the meeting of hot and cold air masses. A line known as front separates the two air masses. The warm air slowly rises over the heavier cold air. Thus the cold, dry air comes in contact with the warmer, moist air by which the warm air cools and form clouds leading to rainfall. This type of rain pours down steadily for a few hours to a couple of days. There is heavy rain but of short duration. Hence there are also known as temperate cyclones.

Cyclonic rainfall is also known as frontal rainfall. It   usally occurs at the front or zone of convergence where two mass of air with different temperature meets. The warm light air moves over the cool dense air,on rising, the light warm air looses all its heat to the surrounding and becomes heavy and dense untill it reaches a certain level where it can no longer moves high condensation takes place and eventually rains

CYCLONIC- Cyclonic or 'frontal' rain occurs where two air masses meet and form a 'front'. The warmer, moisture laden air rises over the colder air as a 'warm front'. As the air rises it cools, and its relative humidity increases. Clouds form as water vapour condenses, and then fall as rain.

This type of rainfall usually occurs in the temperate latitudes where the warm , tropical air mass meets with the cool polar air mass.
