Somewhere on the web it states (in error) that Chase Products invented it in the late 40's. That is NOT correct information. I called Chase products to see if they actually claimed the invention. They do not. Chase products is in the business of manufactoring aersol cans for products like hairspray. They told me that one of the online question answering services answered that question irresponsibly.
