This is the color that outer space turns when hit by sunlight otherwise its jet black like at night

Refraction through molecules of air. The preponderance of these type molecules during daylight will refract in the wavelength we call blue.

Called Rayleigh scattering. Molecules of dust five us that sunset color by the same process. Two formulas cover this process.
