In Newtonian physics:

KE = 1/2*m*v^2

when m = mass and v = velocity.

There are therefore only two variables, mass and velocity. - How much the car weighs and how fast it is travelling. - Please note, if anyone wishes to pick me up on the differences between weight and mass, and speed and velocity,  there is no need, I know already.
