There are six main types of pollution. The first type of pollution is the air pollution that is caused by emissions into the air from vehicles and factories etc. Air pollution results in acid rain, ozone depletion and smog. Then we have water pollution that is caused when things that deteriorate water quality become a part of it. Next type is known as land or soil pollution that occurs due to accumulation of solid waste and other non degradable materials into the soil. Another type of pollution is noise pollution that is quite common in the cities and occurs when the level of noise is so high that it can not bearable for ears. Another type is radioactive pollution that is caused by the increased use of nuclear energy that although does not release pollutants like CO2 but it is still harmful due to its high penetrating power. The 6th type of pollution is thermal or heat pollution that adds heat to the environment and increases the temperature of the environment.

Why do you people post an answer that has already been said (and frankly, one which was stated much better than you did)? One other type of pollution, the one that bothers me the most, is light pollution.

Note I am unsure as to how much the last one counts as pollution, depending on the definition. I suppose a bonus one could also be considered biological (viruses/bacteria/humans), but that's quite a longshot.
