So apparently time doesn't exist and this is proved by the quantum theory. Can someone please explain how this works in simple terms?

It doesn't need quantum physics to explain time. Just ask any married man.

Suppose Mr and Mrs Didge are planning an outing. Mr Didge thinks, "We have to leave at 7,30 to be there in time," and sets about getting ready. Mrs Didge, on the other hand, will think, "We have to leave at 7.30, I'll start getting ready about 7.45 and we should be away by 8.30."

Time is gender-sensitive and means different things to men than it does to women.

Somebody even wrote a song about it. Hope this helps.
