If they don't understand polite put-offs, sometimes you just gotta say what's on your mind to shut them up.  Nobody does it better than Leroy Jethro Gibbs whose standard response is, "I'm not interested." Try it.

Oh my goodness, that's a hard one.  I'm terrible at being blunt with someone, unless I get my temper stirred up. At that point, I'd just tell them exactly how tired of their voice I was. I'd try everything else, in a nice way, first... I hope.

Yes. It was difficult to work with her. It was like every thought in her head came out thru her lips. Eventually, she was fired for not performing her job....,because she was talking and not working.
