The odds of a Coronal Mass Ejection from the sun piercing our magnetic field doesn't change because of any activity of man. It has always been and will remain a remote threat.

The prospect of damage or interference from the release of coronal energy to our satellite communications and electrical infrastructure rises as our use of those systems increases.
