I like cookies!

Corey and I have a running gag of ruling the Darkside.  Cookies are our currency.  😂

I am a Dark Lord but you will never know my name. In our game of dictatorship, Darth Happy with greet any new people and offer them darkside status. If you refuse, I sneak up from behind and finish the deal with my lightsaber. I then use your head as an adornment for my starship. Heh heh, I'm evil!

Hmmm . . The Dark Side Versus the Light side.

I was always the geek who loved Star Wars . . So much so, that I also played many Lucas Arts games. In the game series "Jedi Outcast" you could choose either side and the sides had a couple of shared Jedi powers, and others specific to the side. It seemed pretty straight foward as Good versus Evil . . . Later on in life when I had time to really speculate about these, it should be about Self versus Humanity.

The Primal Self is only concerned with survival and the continuation of our self through posterity.  Since we are an animal not built to be alone (Both protection wise and psychologically) we need to interact and share with other people. The more we contribute to community, the stronger it becomes, and the more "likely" that our species will survive. This civility has evolved to form large societies. Even within those societies we find ourselves in yet smaller groups . .  But ultimately we are serving our base selves' need for survival at the core.

The Dark side represents that which is "selfish" and only concerned with our most primal base selves even to our own detriment. Usually it is determined by low empathy, and a lack of understanding of reciprocity.

Oh, and I love a great Nestlé's Tollhouse cookie, and these delightful chocolate cookies that my son bakes from time to time . . .

If you enjoyed Jedi Outcast, you may also enjoy Knights of The Old Republic 1&2. Their alignment choice are far more detailed than Outcast.
