What other species can observe its thoughts like humans? (has awareness of it's thinking and behaviour) In this observation and thinker action, what part of the brain is doing the observing and what part of the brain is doing the thinking because it is like two processes?  (Question slightly altered from original as people have said they do not understand it) Thanks

What other species can do what we do in the area specified and what areas of their brains are involved in that process, I guess.

Apologises for any offence. I have a problem with how my brain functions, the question sounds perfectly ok in my head but I have trouble submitting it to paper or saying it, I get things round the wrong way.

Are you asking what other species are capable of reflection?

Sort of, we are aware of our thoughts and have thoughts about those thoughts. I wanted to know what other species can do this and what areas of the brain are used.

I don't think any animal other than humans thinks about their thoughts, or probably more correctly rethinks previous decions wondering if they were right or not. Other animals will adjust behavior based on previous experience only because they have learned something. Other animals are blessed with "living in the now". Humans are the only ones I know that worry about the "what if".
