Take up Marshal McLuhan's famous thesis of 1964, The Medium IS the Message; or, "we become what we behold." The famous example is the well in the desert, crucial to the delivery of the water.
Then evaluate:
1) Where things are with McLuhan's predictions now some 52 years on, for example his idea of The Global Village.
2) Then, develop some predictions of your own as to how things are likely to develop from here.
3) And last offer some ideas as to the best possibilities for media if humankind were able to live up to its finest potential (by some miracle).
