It makes goods and services available to all potential users in the most convenient way.

In doing that it lifts the standard of living, makes lives easier, and allows us enough recreation time to pursue our sports, hobbies, and interests.

Without commerce we would fall back to the old days of toiling from dawn to dusk in order to produce enough of our chosen commodity that we could try to sell at the village market or barter for other things we need.

Commerce ain't always pretty but we'd be stuffed without it.

Dozy I had to Google to find out what TOR is...The Onion Network, developed by the US Navy for online anonymity.
Also just for interest sake, will you tell me what AV software you like, in case I ever go back to the PC operating system?

I've been using Microsoft's freebie for the past couple of years. It'x excellent. The Windows 10 verson is called Windows Defender.

I also use an add on to my browser called WOT (Web of Trust) which is more than useful.
