That would depend on who is doing the communicating The Internet is a perfect vehicle for creating fictional persponalities (check mine) or posting unreliable information (check Wikipedia).

Why is mine fictional? Because I'm really a 25 year old hunk who drives a Ferrari and owns a  major dot.com company. I use my grandfather's photograph to keep all the women on the site from throwing themselves at me. It's so *sigh* tiresome.

It is hard to believe a person who tell you somethings online, as we don't know him/her in person, so they can tell what they want.  By my mind it's better to think over what they have told, i have met several times that they lied to me and told somethings were not true.

Sure, no social awkwardness of a face to face confrontation.

Now, being more honest in no way means anyone is more correct, it just means they are speaking "unfiltered".
