Psilocybin from mushrooms (fungi) and Peyote from cactus are hallucinogenics that are poisonous and can kill you if you take too much. I think the reason some doesn't kill is because they aren't usually ingested in huge amounts but many people die each year from overdosing on these plant and may end up in the ER.
