Yes. Because there are chemicals that are found in laundry that causes the cell membranes of the plant to collapse or to function improperly. This leads for a plan to die.

Yes it does.. I have done a science project on this this year and it definetly kills the plants .. The one with the nondetergent wins!! =]]

I'm doing a science project on it and it resulted that liquid detergent doesn't affect the plant. But the powder detergent kills the plant.

I don't think that laundry detergent affects plant growth...
