Fresh water. The salt slows down how fast the ice melts (I'm not sure why).

If you still really want to know, do an experiment. Put different amounts of salt into a cups of water, and leave one without salt. Put in some ice cubes and if you want, use a stopwatch to see which how long it takes for them all to melt.

In Fresh Water. I did the experiment for the science fair. I tried it 3 times and all 3 times the ice cubes melted faster in Fresh Water.

Ice cubes melt faster in fresh water. This is because salt increases the density of the water as well as making it consistently cooler than fresh water.

An ice cube will melt faster in fresh water because in the salt water the salt would slow down the ice cube from melting.

Actually it'll melt faster in fresh water... Think about the icebergs. They last longer on ocean than on lakes.
