According to the formula which is found in Fullmetal Alchemist, the human body is made up of 35 litres of water, 20 kilograms of carbon, four litres of ammonia, one-and-a-half kilograms of lime, 800 grams of phosphorus, 250 grams of salt, 100 grams of nitre, 80 grams of sulphur, seven-and-a-half grams of fluorine, five grams of iron, three grams of silicon and 15 other trace elements.

Fullmetal Alchemist is also known as Alchemist of Steel. It is commonly abbreviated as FMA or called Hagaren by its fans. It is a Japanese manga animation series which was created by Hiromu Arakawa.

Fullmetal Alchemist was serialised in Monthly Shonen Gangan, adapted into an anime series on television and a movie sequel. There have also been several spin-off novels and video games based on the Fullmetal Alchemist manga series. The manga is still aired in Japan. Sixteen volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist have been released so far in Japan.
