There could be many reasons why one armpit sweats more than the other.

  • How you apply your deodorant
The first reason is to do with the way you apply deodorant. This may seem a stupid reason but if you find you are putting more deodorant on one arm pit when you spray or roll on then this may be the reason why.

  • Hyperhidrosis
If this is not the case then there are other reasons why you are sweating from one arm pit more than the other. Another cause of this could be hyperhidrosis but this is only if you are sweating profusely and excessively.

  • One arm is more active
If you're sweating what could be considered a normal amount then it could just be a case that the underarm you are sweating from is the arm you use the most for sports, writing etc so it generally sweats more as it is more active then the other arm.

However, if you are worried and want to find out for sure what it is then consult your local GP or doctor as they will be able to advise you on exactly what it is or refer you to the right department to conduct exams and find out the cause of it.

Excessive sweating not only causes a lot of embarrassment and a lot of ruined tops, but can stop someone from living their normal life as they may not feel comfortable socializing or doing any type of sport.

If deodorants aren't stopping this sweating, there are other remedies such as injections that can stop the small sweat glands in your under arms from working and other therapies but it is always advised to seek the advice of a doctor before undergoing any of these, as their could be an underlying condition which may mean the therapies may not work.

You know what I noticed, which is quite interesting?  I always find that my left armpit has a different odour to the right.  In actual fact, the left has the slight odour, and the right is still as fresh as a daisy.   Does it have any connection with circulation to and from the heart, or lymphatic system?
