Chemo is short for Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is a treatment method where the patient is injected with different drugs that attack the cancer. Radiation therapy can be done in a couple of different ways. One method is where you sit near a machine that resembles a hospital's x-ray machine. The machine operator then exposes a source of radiation that is aimed at the cancer growths. This exposure will often kill the cancerous tissue.

The key to successful treatment is to get it done as soon as possible. If you friend is afraid to talk to doctors, go with her or have her minister/priest go with her. GET IT DONE SOON and she is more likely to live. God bless.

The difference is that radiotherapy is used in more severe cases with radiation exposure to cancerous tumors, while chemotherapy involves taking medications. I think both of these options are very effective, although they can lead to even more undesirable consequences. Some doctors, for example, suggest the use of sodium dichloroacetate, which can also be used as a prophylactic and a treatment. However, it is still better than potentially dying of cancer even earlier in life.
