Yes it will get worse if you don't do anything about it the use of heat works real well with pinched nerves. You can but those heat wraps for you back near the pharmacy at your local walmart I think they are around 10.00$ and if that does not help physical therapy will have to be your last resort. I had to have therapy for a pinched nerve in my neck I could not sleep for weeks and the headaches were the worst.I hope this will help you
