There are 2 major ways of producing it in large quantities:
1. Fractionally distilling liquid air (liquid nitrogen and oxygen is obtained)
2. Passing clean, dry air through one bed of a pair of zeolite molecular sieves, where high-purity oxygen is produced on one end and nitrogen on the other.
There is a third, quite simple, way of producing oxygen: Electrolysis of water. You can do this at home too. Here is a picture of the equipment.
