There is a lot of difference between diffusion and effusion. Diffusion is the concept of science which refers to the spontaneous movement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration from a semi-permeable membrane. Whereas effusion refers to flow of individual molecules through a hole without any collisions between the molecule.
