Glass keeps things hotter the plastic would melt or burst.

I assume you are talking about storing in plastic and glass products that can withstand a high level of heat. If yes, then plastic would allow liquids to retain their heat much longer. This is because plastic is an insulator, meaning that it does not absorb heat. However, glass does absorb some of the heat from the liquid, thus reducing the temperature of the liquid itself.

Normally Plastic keeps liquids hotter for a longer period of time. This is because Plastic is a better insulator and heat can not pass through it. So when we keep something hot in a plastic container, it stays hot for a longer period of time.
