Study of various forms of land is known as Geomorphology. The study of Geomorphology includes study of the origin and evolution of the land and the process that shaped them. Geomorphologists study the science to understand the history of the land and predict changes that may take place in future by carrying out various physical experiments and observations. This science is studied within other sciences viz Geology, Archaeology, Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geography. Study of Geomorphology helps with prediction of landslide, costal protection, river restoration and control among other things. Geomorphology focuses on analysis of interconnected processes. It includes study of Fluvial Geomorphology (study of rivers and streams), Glacial Geomorphology (study of movement of ice), Weathering (study of wearing of rocks) and Taxonomy, among others.
