I love pitta bread btw it's european
Pita bread is a traditional food in many middle-eastern and Mediterranean countries. Originally it is believed to come from Syria.
Pita Bread can be made in many different ways with different ingredients. Some use grains other than wheat such as corn. They can be baked, fried, grilled and even steamed, but taste much better when just baked rather than shop bought, possibly several days old.
It is used to scoop sauces or dips and to wrap sandwiches. Most are baked at temperatures of 370 degrees Celsius, which causes the flattened dough to puff up.
After it has been removed from the oven, the baked dough stays separated which allows space for various fillings and ingredients inside to then form a sandwich.

The word "pitta" means "flat" in Greek. It's also the Greek word for "pie". Greeks in Cyprus(Cypriots) usually eat pitta with souvlakia and gyros(kebabs). The same bread is also famous in other countries too apart from mainland Greece and Cyprus.
