Henry T Sampson was born in the year 1934 at a place called Jackson in Mississippi. Educated at the Purdue University Sampson went on to do his Engineering at UCLA and then went on to do his MS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois. He was considered more of an engineer than a scientist but has made significant contribution to the field of science.
He holds quite a few patents, namely, ones that have something to do with solid rocket motors. The other has to do with converting nuclear energy to electricity. He went a step ahead in his research of internal ballistics (concerning solid rocket motors) and used high speed photography to observe them better. He is also responsible for inventing the Gamma electric cell.
