Indicators are used in the form of solutions. The following are the four types of solutions

 Universal indicator

This is made up of a mixture is various indicators which
work at different pH ranges, It indicates pH from 3 to 11, which means that it
can be used for all ordinary and acid-alkali titration.

Paper indicator

It is the easier way of showing the color changes and
convenient too. It is known as litmus
PhenolphthaleinIt is colorless in neutral and acidic solutions, but have a pink color in alkaline solutions.
Methyl OrangeIt is red in acidic medium but yellow in alkaline medium. It is orange in neutral solutions.
