When my daughter was 10 she made the most AWESOME cell project. She made a round cake and then wrapped red licorice around it for the cell wall and put other kinds of candy on top of the cake to represent other parts of the cell. She then made little flags on toothpicks and wrote the different cell parts on the flags and stuck them in the cake to identify them. She got an A and was very popular in class that day because they got to EAT her science project!
