Why Do I Have Swollen Lymph Nodes Under My Jaw Bones On Both Sides Of My Neck?

Lymph nodes are basically filters. They catch debris (infections) and keep them from spreading all over your body. You may have a slight infection somewhere..throat, tonsils, drainage from the nose due to allergies, etc. Normally, it is nothing to be overly concerned with unless it is an on-going problem and you do begin to show signs of an illness. But...keep in mind I am not a physician. If you are concerned the best thing to do is to go to your physician and let him ease your mind.

I just had my whole bottom mouth of implants put in this morning. They do not hurt at all. I was eating dinner and suddenly it seems they are my glands that swelled up immediately. I stopped eating and they seem to have gone down slightly. Is this something to be concerned about?

Sometimes even when you just have a little infection like a cold or even your say "I don't feel good my throat hurts" your lymph nodes swell because they catch some of the infection. I would check with your doctor just to make sure!

There are really too many things to speculate about here. You should go and see your doctor, as there is a risk of it getting worse. Swollen lymph nodes are always a sign that something is wrong. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

5 months!!!!  Please tell me you are on the way to the doctor to get this checked out!!??  It could be absolutely nothing at all, but why take the chance?My sister had swollen Lymph nodes and let it go. She much later found out she had lymphoma cancer.

Lymph nodes in the neck are located under throat, slightly bellow ears on neck about two inches down, and back of neck around 1 to 2 inches from skull. You may also have some swelling in throat. This is caused by either allergies, or a cold you are fighting off. There may be other reasons such as infection. Best to have checked out by a doctor to make sure you have ruled out contagious diseases or infection

I have a swollen lymph node under my chin that the doctor in December said I was rubbing too much, it has not gone down or away. I now have two lymph nodes on the left side of my collar bone that have gotten hard, no pain, just my neck is swollen. Should I be concerned.

Swollen lymph nodes in neck  I took to Vet.  She poked and took blood samples only to tell me that she had infection.sent me home  with antibiotics and today she my mini schnauzer is closing her eye to the touch and blood has formed around the under the  innner eye lid. What is the problem..  I think the vet hit some thing or not help I can not take her back there, I told her she was always allergic to everything why the test she has been in plenty times and sent home with same antibiotics what's the differnce this time. Besides a new vet?

You should get a biopsy of this tissue to be on the safe side and relieve your mind. Of course you will probably have to deal with a small scar from the biopsy. Did the doctor rule out cat scratch disease as the cause?

My lump is under the chin on left side , Dr has sent for son-gram and then cat scan , now I have to have a biopsy done , they thing it could have some thing to do with Thyroids
