Where is the scripture that tells your heart to beat or for you to breathe? There isn't scripture for that. You just do it automatically. Excitement for God is much the same. People naturally get excited about the things they are passionate for. If you don't believe me just watch any sports event and you will see the Fans cheering, yelling, waving their hands and jumping up and down.
Psalms 100
1 Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! 2 Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. 3 Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
That sounds like excitement to me. King David was always expressing excitement for God. I think a lot of that came from him realizing how Great God is because he was forgiven for his sinning with Bathsheba. David knew he was a sinner, a fragile human being and that God was forgiving, that caused him to be be excited.
