This machine comes with 30+ black plastic discs that look a little like poker chips. Each one has a raised picture of the stitch it creates along with a number that matches one of the stitch pictures on the front, top, right side of the machine. Lift up on the spool pin to reveal a compartment that contains the bobbin winder. To the left of the bobbin winder, you can change these disks out to create different stitches. Hope this helps.
