Enzymes are very sensitive to slight changes in the interval environment of the body.
In homeostasis there are many factors. One of the factors is the maintenance of the internal temperature of the body which is maintained at 37.5 degrees Celsius.
The optimum temperature for the enzymes of the human body i.e they temperature at which they work best is 40 degrees. The change in temperature affects the enzyme activity. If the temperature increases beyond this it may alter the structure of the active sites and the enzymes may be denatured (destroyed).
Homeostasis is necessary in the regulation of the body temperature to prevent the enzymes from being denatured.
