Does ZnCl2 react with MgSO4?

Magnesium sulfate is soluble whereas zinc (II) chloride is not. Therefore, the net ionic equation (I think that's what it's called) will be:

Mg^(2+) + ZnCl2

Zn is a stronger oxidizing agent than Mg, therefore Mg cannot oxidize Zn. This reaction will not happen.
