4/4 would equal 160.

Use proportions to solve this answer, like John McCann did above.

(3/4)/120 = (4/4)/x

We use x because 4/4 isn't given a number, while 3/4 is.

(3/4)/120 = 1/x

3/4 = 120 * (1/x)

3/4 = 120/x

(3/4) * x = (120/x) * x

3x/4 = 120

(3x/4) * 4 = 120 * 4

3x = 480

3x/3 = 480/3

x = 160 <--- 4/4 would equal to 160 is 3/4 was equal to 120.

3/4//100 = 4/4//X

(3/4)X = 100

X = 133.3

======Do it with decimals and see.

Indeed! I must of had that first wrong answer in my head when I set up the equality.

Answer the question to get it to the questioner correctly.

Do you ever get a chance to correct your math teacher?

Actually, yes, very few times does my math teacher make a mistake when trying to explain how to solve certain problems. And I do usually catch them right on the spot.

College math teachers can be extremely correctable for some reason. Perhaps publish or perish has a hand in this, or too many classes to teach could be it.

We are given that 3/4 = 120                      ...(1)

Now let 4/4 = x                  ...(2)

Dividing equation 1 by equation 2,

(3/4) / (4/4) = (120) / x

Now doing a cross multiplication, we get,

3/4 *x = 120 *(4/4)

So, 3x/4 = 120

Now, Multiplying by 4 on both sides of the equation, we get,

3x = 120*4

Dividing by 3 on both sides, we get,

x = 120*4/3 = 40*4 = 160

So, x = 160 = 4/4
