When it comes to backup sites, there seem to be three distinct categories:
- hot
- warm
- cold
A cold site would require the mst testing, with warm being the intermediary, and hot referring to a site where the hardware involved means data can be copied over from the main site in real time (making testing a little redundant).
Nevertheless, testing sites is recommended, whether they be hot, warm or cold.
