A reverse osmosis system is a filtering and purification system that is used to improve both the taste and overall quality of your water. There are multiple stages in the treatment. There is a pre-filter and a semi-permeable membrane, which removes many undesirable substances found in most tap waters. There is a final stage right before the water comes out of the tap which is the activated carbon filter.
This process is similar to the process that is used to produce bottled water that you purchase at the stores.
