Yep, the heuristics are a bit odd aren't they? Blurtit tries to "guess" the range of topics from the wording of the question, and often does rather well - other times, it makes no sense and you have to click "topics not relevant".
How do I categorize a question here on Blurtit into an appropriate topic? I see lots of topics when I'm browsing, but when given the option to choose one before posting a question, the topics are limited and strange...like "insects" or "world travel."
Best thing to do is just find something close or use the " topics irrelevant " . Not that many people use the topic categories anyway, so no matter what you ask, it will come up in the "New" section like the question I asked this morning of all you new members. There was no topic for it. So, it really doesn't matter that much. Capisce??
