I know. My wife's cancer care cost $1,362,000 and that was 12 years ago. She was sick for less than a year. One pill for the relief of severe indigestion was $100 and the insurance company wouldn't cover the pills because they deemed them to be unnecessary for her recovery.
I could go on and on about this, but I won't.

I also lost my husband to cancer, he was very young . It's an awful thing to watch the person you love go through and feel so helpless. I live in Canada so we were fortunate to not have to pay for surgeries , chemo , or Meds . Was hard enough with out a financial burden, I can't imagine adding that stress to all the pain . I'm sorry for your loss hippy.

Thank you Jaimie, sorry for your loss also.
Insurance capped out at $1 million, I was responsible for the rest. As a last ditch effort, we tried a "new and unproven" medicine that was administered in three doses over three days. The cost was $30,000 per dose. That just seemed over the top for an experiment. No one can justify that cost to me.

If it can be done on a worldwide scale, think of the impact. No more drought, reclamation of arid lands. An end to starvation on a lush green planet.

It will one day.

Teleportation. Just think no more spending a day at the airport and on a plane. Poof! You are there!
