Why is it that with the drought, my back lawn is almost dead but crabgrass and other weeds are green and growing?

This summer has been really hot and dry. The past few weeks there has been a water ban.. A $400 buck fine for watering the lawn.

Spray paint is a great idea! You're not limited to green though....multi color yard! As far as the weeds.....a little salt water should take care of them!

There are a couple grasses that are designed to have deeper roots, and "choke out" weeds.

I was going to put one in my yard ... but I'm too lazy for the maintenance they require the first couple years.

Bad thing is : I can't water the grass enough here !
