Not necessarily. Heart rate depends on ones history, physical condition plus many other factors that don't typically include gender. An over weight male may have an average of 80bpm while a fit female may have a rate 50bpm. Since everyone is different it's hard to make a gender comparison to come up with a specific set of what exactly is average for both groups.

Sexual comparison ( not gender! ). It is well know that distributing all heart rates for men and women tells that on average women's hearts beat faster than the hearts of men.

Hey Yin! I'm doing pretty good, how are you and your family doing? I'm getting ready to start a new job so I'll be on the road 6 days per week. Probably won't be on the internet much anymore.

That's certainly been my experience.

Every time I walk into a room you can hear all those hearts going skippity bump as they rev up a gear. :)

It's good to know I've still got it.

Back in 1991, when I was still a young man of 54, Mrs Didge and I were holidaying at the Great Barrier Reef. We were in a supermarket and I was chatting up the check-out chick -- herself a youthful 50+ -- and she said, "Would you fancy a night out?" I said, "Just a moment," turned back to Mrs D. and asked her permission. The poor woman got awfully embarrassed.
