Nah. A good life with a clean finish isn't so bad. Who wants to live forever?

Robert Heinlein once worked out a similar idea in a book called Methuselah's Children which he continued in Time Enough For Love. People bred for longevity but, as his hero Lazarus Long discovered, life can become pretty tedious if you live long enough to qualify for a "Been there, done that" t-shirt for everything.
